Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) hosted a heartwarming fundraiser to close out Pink October. Organized under the patronage of Puan Sri Dato’ Akmal Abdul Salam, the event brought together breast cancer survivors, supporters, and corporate partners for an afternoon filled with celebration and solidarity.

The fundraiser featured a sumptuous menu sponsored by AYA Real Food, exquisite décor by Pak Abu Weddings, and a stunning fashion show by local designer Ruzz Gahara. Guests were treated to uplifting performances by BCWA’s very own Pink Melody choir, as well as singers Alissa Idris, Erissa Puteri Hashim and Arja Lee.

Puan Sri Akmal Abdul Salam expressed her gratitude to the attendees, emphasizing the importance of community in the fight against breast cancer. “This event is a testament to the strength and resilience of our survivors and the unwavering support of our community. Together, we are creating a world where no one faces breast cancer alone,” she said.

President of BCWA, Kim Lim, highlighted the significance of the fundraiser. “Every contribution we receive fuels our mission to raise awareness, provide support, and advocate for better breast cancer care in Malaysia. We are deeply touched by the generosity and solidarity shown today,” she shared.

The event was a perfect culmination of Pink October, a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness. As the vibrant gathering drew to a close, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and a reminder of the power of unity in overcoming life’s challenges - 4 December 2024
