Overview
Vital Signs is looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Executive with excellent English writing skills, a strong eye for design, and a passion for impactful media work. You will be responsible for managing and growing our social media presence across platforms, crafting compelling content, and supporting our broader media and communications strategy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, understands audience engagement, and can balance creativity with strategy. You’ll work closely with the communications and design teams to produce high-quality digital content that strengthens our brand and mission.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Draft engaging, on-brand captions, posts, and stories tailored to different platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Write clear, creative, and compelling copy for campaigns, announcements, and events
Graphic Design & Visual Content
- Design eye-catching graphics, reels, and infographics using tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or other design software
- Ensure all visuals are aligned with brand guidelines and tone
Social Media Management
- Schedule and publish content regularly across platforms
- Monitor social media trends and adapt content to stay relevant and engaging
- Track analytics and prepare performance reports with actionable insights
Community Engagement
- Respond to comments and DMs, engage with followers in a respectful and timely manner
- Assist in managing collaborations with partners and cross-promotions
Media & Communications Support
- Support digital campaigns tied to media outreach, public events, or advocacy efforts
- Assist with basic video editing, media monitoring, and live event coverage on social channels
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a social media or digital communications role
- Exceptional writing and editing skills in English (short-form and long-form)
- Strong portfolio of social media content and graphic design work
- Basic video editing (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere, iMovie)
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, or similar tools
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects
- A genuine interest in media, advocacy, or storytelling for social impact
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience in media monitoring or press relations
- Understanding of paid social or SEO
