Mugdha Barik

Mugdha Barik is an accomplished biotechnologist with a specialization in nanotechnology and extensive experience in public health advocacy and project management. Previously part of a research team at The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), she contributed to advancing genetically targeted therapies for cancert reatment. Transitioning her focus to public health, Mugdha has since become a passionate advocate for patient-centric care.
Currently, she plays a pivotal role in managing diverse projects across cardiovascular disease, cancer, mental health, and women's health. She is an integral member of the Course Advisory Committee under the NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Multiple Long-Term Conditions, contributing to impactful training programs like “From Knowledge to Action: A Practitioner’s Course to Empathetic and Meaningful Community Engagement”.
An active voice in the global health community, Mugdha is affiliated with Women in Global Health and serves as a Secretariat Member of the Patients for Patient Safety Network in the Asia-Pacific region. Mugdha is a published author and has also earned certifications from renowned institutions such as HarvardX and Johns Hopkins University.
